I have purchased vol. 1-4 and am eagerly anticipating vol. 5 ( out in May). I picked up this series b/c of the unusual plot, where else can you read about zoomanity(leopards,mermaids,snakes) vs. monkeys(reg.humans).

The art style I liked and found it easy to distinguish between the different characters. I enjoyed the comedy of the former reg. monkey slowing changing into his zoomanity. I also found myself enjoying the uke from the beg. of the story and his interaction with both the seme and other characters.

However,I did have a hard time figuring out who mothered/fathered who and the degree of fertility/power they had (the latter can be blamed on the chart). For example the first and main couple: the uke is a missing link who is supposed to be very fertile but according to the chart he would be the least fertile. HUH! *scratches head* I also thought the idea of the womb worm was genius.:D

mini rant****I wish Blu publishing would would translate every fx. I wrote them an e-mail re. this and was told it was their policy not to translate all fx as you could tell what was happening in the frame. I didn't find it that easy while reading these volumes. Occassionaly you will have a character doing several things with a fx in the frame and have to guess what is going on. Since I am paying for a translated copy I find it lazy for a professional company not to do this while scantalors do. *******

I really love this story. Its cute, full of smut and great art and great story plot. If you like yaoi you will love this manga.
Excellent book!! I absolutely love it!!
From the moment I started reading this I was absolutely impressed with the author. To build such a unique world! The characters have such wonderful expressions on their faces and the body language is amazing. That's pretty hard to do in a one dimensional setting but this author has done it! And the storyline on this series, I have laughed out loud, I have cried and I have rejoiced in the spirit of these characters. I want to know what's going to happen to each and every one of them!
At first I thought this sounded like utter crap, but for some reason I just kept coming back to it..and after reading a few positive reviews I ordered the first three.
My god I only wish I had ordered all five! Its really fantastic. With so much yaoi flying about its nice to find something with an original storyline. Everything comes together nicely in this and I was SO into it. No yaoi fan should go without this in their collection...
I first read this out of sheer boredom. I had seen it before but constantly passed it because it sounded like utter nonsense. Crack yaoi. But then I read it and...okay, it IS crack but it's actually good crack. Ignoring the whole, turning into animals thing, the plot is still real and will most likely please any yaoi/SA fan. The animal bit actually adds in a bit of humor and I found myself laughing more than I normally do in the stereotypical yaoi plot.

Definitely worth the buy. Pick up volume 2 while you're purchasing it, because once you read 1 you'll have a need for the next book!
Generally I'll pick up a random yaoi title or two at random most of those that I grab that are the start of a series I don't follow up on. I'll read the first book maybe like it or not but generally not get attached to the story or characters enough to actively search for the following volumes. This one, however... now I'm not exactly a 'fan girl' or the type to girlishly 'squee' over thing but this first volume... how can I put it... I love it I love it I love it I love it!

There's great humor, endearing and interesting characters and story and it's still very sexy. I finished book one and hopped right back on to order all the rest of the series that was out. I'm working on book five right now and still enjoying the series.
Wow I am totally addicted to this manga and I've only read the first volume! LOL! It's by Tarako Kotobuki and so far it's a story that explores the possibiblity of a second type of human evolution. Human who have evolved from animals other than monkeys! They're called Zooman or Zoomanity and cute uke Norio gets into an accident that awakens his Zoomanity traits and literally fall into the arms of smexy Seme Madarame Kunimasa. The world of the zoomans is a complex system based on breeding, strength, desirability, et al that makes it a very interesting read in its own right. And although what appears to be the main couple Norio/Kunimasa are cute and funny I am really addicted to the possibility of Kunimasa's brother, the man hating Maradame Yonekuni, and Fujiwara Shirou getting together.

Anyway, I love the story so far and I think the first volume sets up the story quite nicely. I love strong, tall, and sexy Semes. I love a variety of Ukes, especially when they fall out of the typical Uke category and it seems as if this manga as a bit of that.
