Inner Harbor, third book in the Chesapeake Bay Saga, continues the story of the Quinn brothers focusing more in the third boy Ray and Stella Quinn adopted: Phillip Quinn.

I’m so glad to say I liked so much more this book that the second one, but Sea Swept (first book) still holds my favorite place.

In the previous books we got some glimpses of how Phillip was but none of those glimpses prepared me for how he’d be in this book. He was such a nice surprise! I really, really liked him! (Cameron still holds the first place in my heart though, haha)
I was curious to know who would be Phillip’s love interest and was pleasantly surprised to get introduced to Sybill Griffin who brought some huge revelations to the story. Never did I expect what Nora had in stored for us and the way this book would turn out. I’m still in awe. Props to Nora!

I wished I could’ve seen more of Cameron and Anna (they’re my favorite couple) but I can’t complain of the little we saw because they actually had me grinning.
I was so happy to see the brothers’ interactions which I felt lacked in the previous book, and also happy to finally see Seth being part of them. (I actually almost cried a few times with their interactions. They were so adorable, so brotherly)

I can’t believe I only have one book left to finish the saga. I’m struggling whether to read it or not because I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet. I’m not ready to see little Seth turned into a grown man. Though I’m excited to know what happened all these years after Inner Harbor finished.

Should read previous 2 books in series first where back rounds of all 3 brothers is explained. This book is great story with all brothers, lots of twists, turns and loves. It makes clear what the brothers have done with chances the man, who wasn't their real father but who who took them in, gave them. In this book, brother Philip, most sophiscated one, finds his way and love. Mystery of why deceased father took on a 4th brother is solved. Due to plot question can only give 4 stars. Without total spoiler must ask how did one sister find out who was who when she was not in touch with her family. Maybe I missed something but would love it if someone could answer that part?
Phillip was definitely the least interesting of the three brothers. Even during the first two books, I couldn't make myself like this character. Sybill is probably the least likeable of the "heroines" in any Nora Roberts books I've read. That she is some sort of expert in observing human behavior and research, she sure is unbelievably stupid when it comes to her sister's behavior and past. Seth's easy acceptance of Sybill, when he hasn't been that warm to strangers, is a little too neat.
I found Phillip to be another great character by Roberts, but Sybill the female lead was just to unlikable for me and for the two of them not to fit. With such an outgoing personality like Phillip, to fall for someone with the quiet of Sybill just didn't make sense. I understand you're supposed to see that Sybill isn't cold, just shy and unused to the loud displays of affection that make up the Quinn family. But to me, Sybill never really leaves the characterization of boring and cold.

Instead of adding to the family, I don't think Sybill fits in at all and therefore just found this book ok.
I like this series, but I just didn't like this book. After learning a little bit about Phillip in the first two books, I just found it hard to believe that he could forgive Sybill so easily. I couldn't warm up to Sybill no matter how hard I tried. Anna and Grace just seemed to "fit" with the Quinns, but Sybill didn't. The books are obviously predictable, in that you know the first female the main character comes in contact with is the woman he's going to marry, so right from the start I wasn't sold on this story. I kept reading for Seth and the continuing saga of his parentage. Seth's the only reason I gave this book 2 stars - he counts for one of them.
This is Phillip's story. He is the 3rd adopted son of Ray and Stella Quinn. He was once a 'bad boy' also, like his other brothers, and given a second chance. Found at his weakest hour by Stella, he has cleaned up his act, and learned to love his new family when he believes there is nothing left to hope for.

Phillip lives in Baltimore as an advertisement exec. Though, with his father Ray's last wishes, he is home once more in St Christopher's Bay. This time having to share his living space with his brothers once again, including the newest son, Seth. Phillip and his brothers have been fighting a battle of ownership with Seth's caseworker for well over 6 mos as Ray left things in shambles and incompleted when he died.

Dr. Sybill, who is a sociologist and an author, has come to St Chris to observe and document the small town's folks and goings-on for her new book. Or so she says...

Sybill enters Phillip and his brothers life purely with the purpose of gauging the family dynamics with the folks who have Seth. She is determined to find out if Seth is treated well, and how well he is coping with his new life away from her disreputable sister Gloria(and Seth's true mother).
